Videos

Just a short video clip of us using the lathe on a section of the position control yolk rod that we cut in half to remove. The rod was eventually welded back together.

Freeing the seized left hand droparm. A bit of heat, a crowbar, a pair of stilsons and a lot of musle can acheive a lot.

A short video of us priming the lift components with undercoat from our new spray gun in our temporary 'spray room'

The Super Dexta firing up to check hydraulics function. It's been 6 months since it was last started. At about 35secs you can hear the point when Dad realises the external services port is open and oil is pouring out.

A short video of the hydraulics clearly functioning... We're now discussing the drop arm adusment that needs to be made due to the increased lift after the rebuild

Rich testing the Qualitrol function of the rebuilt hydraulics. When Qualitrol is selected load, on the top link spring should activate lift of the arms, when the load drops the lift arms return to the previous setting. This is useful when doing ground work where the tractor may loose traction the implement is automatically lifted and dropped for optimum traction

This is a video of Rich & Eddie removing the Dexta's cyclinder head for inspection and cleaning. Charlie was the cameraman as he didn't want to get dirty today.

A short video clip of Eddie grinding in the valve seats before rebuilding the head.

A HD video clip of the front end getting its first coat of primer.

A short video of my Grandad George Jones cultivating the ground in the early 1970's. The video is poor quality without sound and was originally filmed on old cinefilm

The Dexta starting for the first time after rebuilding the frontend. She roars back to life after the engine head removal, a bunch of new seals and new gaskets and a whole host of other parts.

Doing a bit of ploughing in mid-restoration in October 2011 in preperation for a crop of potatoes in 2012. Recorded in HD!

First run up of the hay turner for 30 years. Some pre maintenance completed, wheels are off in the video for new tyres. Ridging comb is off out of shot.
