Front end Dismantled

Over the weekend we first started up amidst clouds of smoke - you should always turn off the cold start tap to prevent the combustion chambers filling with diesel. We then went a quick ride around the field to test out the work already done especially the brakes. Then it was a quick wash down with the pressure washer and a sweep up in the shop before stripping out the front end. Off came the front wheels, hubs and kingpins. Then the radiator and finally the front axle. While we were at it off came the instrument panel, the fuel tank and steering box. By now she is looking a little bare and the pile of bits for cleaning is huge. Sunday was spent in trying to make a dent in the cleaning with some success.
