Nose Cone Repairing

A few hours have now been spent on getting the poor metal cut out of the nose and replacement strips made, shaped and fitted. Some progress photos taken a couple of days ago have been added to the 'Tin Work' page.

We have run the engine a few time since the last update. In fact she was put to work ferrying junk on the yard over to the barn. Starting is no issue she fires from cold in the spring temperatures without the cold start system only the excess fuel button.

We made a few adjustments to the throttle linkage as it wasn't opening fully, in fact we couldn't get it to rev in to the Belt Pully range on the tacho. A bit of tinkering has made a vast improvement. Brake adjustment could do with tweaking but our main issue is still THAT BLASTED LEAKING FUEL TAP on the cold start system!

There are a couple of annoying leaks, one is the steering box side seal the other is the rear engine rope seal. We will keep an eye on these but I doubt we will be spitting the tractor to sort a little leak no matter how annoying it is.
