Removed the Qualitrol main Yolk and Spring

After some discussion about the seized Qualitrol yolk and spring assembly we decided that we should have another attempt to remove it from the hydraulic top so we can do a proper job when cleaning and painting the gear. As the usual approach of brute force didn't work and without the equipment to apply any decent heat to the yolk end, we decided to cut the shaft then free the threads in a vice. Doing this we used some 6mm threaded rod to join the two ends of the shaft. The ends were drilled and tapped in to the centre of using the lathe, a 'V' was ground in the circumference of the join to take the weld. The weld was cleaned and filed to the shaft diameter. All of the hydraulic lid and it components are ready for priming and painting - we just now need to get some paint.
